View Full Version : Insect Rig Tutorial?
alexyork 02-02-2004, 04:37 PM Hi there everyone.
Has anyone come across a decent insect rigging tutorial?
I'm trying to rig a small ladybird/beetle.
I've done some searching and no results as yet.
Thanks a lot

What difficulties did you run in ?
Wing movement ? Body deformation ? Folding Wings ?
Should be all fairly trivial with driven keys...just watch out for the motion blur to prevent straight blurs.

none of those problems - i dont have any "problems" as such - i was just after a nice tutorial on beginner's rigging for insects.
i have never rigged before you see.

Well you dont need a tutorial on an insect in particular, just find some info on rigging in general. Setting up a rig for an insect should not pose any big problems.

aye i guess you are right there.
ill just have to adapt the tutorials i have seen so far and concentrate on the legs in particular. no i need to find some stock footage of insect walks for reference... this should be fun :surprised
