View Full Version : animate a nurb curve?? how?

hello. i'm trying to animate a cv nurb curve.. in the sense that i don't want to move the whole curve (thats simple) but move different points on it.

What i did was in frame 1 select a point.. and place it at it's starting position.. then in the 20th frame moved that point to the end position... it doesn't work.. i used this same technique to move the whole thing and it worked fine.. is there any special way to animate erm... subobjects??

i'm told what i'm trying to do is pretty simple in 3ds max....

any help appreciated

To animate points you must create a cluster for each point, and constrain each cluster to a null. Then you animate the null, so the constrained cluster-points follow.

that's what they taught me for lip animation in school, but i am just thinking why not just used shape animation....(I did that and it works perfectly without the tedious null-everypoint work)
