bake problem

I have cople of models, wich have the same map.

I want to bake light map.


The maya bake option make a couple of maps but what I want is to make only one light map for this models.

I try with MR bake but there I lose my self I don't know what to do, I only see one opion where said"bake to one map", wich I think will solve my problem, but I don't know how to fix other options...


Can someone help me on this? It's no meter if is MR our Maya bake only to make me a one light map for my models!!!!!!

Maya creates new lightmap for each object and each shader. You give bit to small amount of information about Your's scene to be sure what should help but I'll try annyway...

easy way: Assuming that all this models are simmilar and they have same or simmilar UV mappings all You need is to create a lightmap for one of them, then apply it to the others - but it is probably not this case :hmm:

easy way2: If models are different and they are mapped with different part of the same texture, just merge lightmaps in photoshop and add to the scene materials

other way: If this are completely different models with same basic material You will have different lightmaps for each of them.
It could be done on one lightmap but I'll need to know more about Your's scene and make a test of solution I'm thinking about - however it is bit complicated, maybe someone else know simpler solution.
