Hello everybody, how are these high altitude zooms done? EX: Hagar 7 where the camera starts from high above earth's ground and then dollys thru clowds etc and then comes to a low altitude. Are the clowds done in 3d or stock media adjusted to complete the effect? Another example of this is in the new show Threat Matrix where the camera starts from a spy satalite and then goes down until it reaches a particual person...

Any ideas, suggestions would be awesome.

i would suggest everything in different layers? clouds, opening shot of earth, and just blur them past the camera, either with the camera still, or vice versa.......im not sure if im explaining it rite, but one of friends did the same shot, but it was thru space, and he just did some 3d plates of space stuff (clouds, haze, etc).....rendered them out into stills and used combustion to move thru them, all with a huge map of stars and stuff as the bg......just remember motion blur is ur best friend in these shots....

u just have to match them up a little to the next frame of the shot
little tricky, but im sure once u play with it, u'll get it....
