View Full Version : Photo: Gasmaskguy
Hey. Well... i guess this doesnt really fit anywhere and i wanted to show it since its one of the better things ive done with my camera. Got alot of good comments on another board so im hoping that i at least will be able to get some from you that are more experienced than i am.
I bet its nothing compared to you guys but hey, im learning.
Its an incredibly simple picture. Only thing ive done to it is cleaning up some major flaws and done an invert/negative. (Do an invert again and it become hideously ugly :P)
I intend to clean it up more and add some things to it. Dont know what yet since my imagination has taken a long walk of a short pier.
So far my only idea is something like a dna-string or anything viral at the top left corner.
Anyway. Here it is. (http://upl.mine.nu/uplfolders/upload7/WallpaperWIP1024.jpg)
Please be gentle... ;)

You have the basics for a catchy image, someone is looking into the camera, you have my attention.
Now, use it. Whats your message?
Are you going to add loads of graphics to it? Could be done, its a clean image. Just a text?
Keep it up!

Message. Hmm, theres not really a message right now. As i said, my imagination is dead. Just came back from the army :p
Loads of graphics?, no not loads of them but something more.
A simple dnastring (http://members.dodo.com.au/~micksinsanity/dnastring.jpg) will probably be added. Maybe something along the lines of cells too.
Not to sure right now.
Edit: No, no homepage.

Thats the thing. As a spectator, I take time to look at your pictures, and for that you have to give me something back, a message or an emotion. If I like the message or the emotion, then I want the picture to experience that emotion or the message over and over again.
Thus you sell your art and/or get good critics.
As it is now, it fits like a backgroundimage, because it doesnt say anything, atleast not if one is used to se gasmask everywhere, that is, playing to much CS, or beeing in the military :)
Edit: cateyes as an example would be a way of adding an emotion to it :)
Sounds good.
Well. Im going to put some thinking into it. I already know one thing i want to do. A friend did it on the picture so im gonna ask him how he did it.
Turns out pretty cool.
Goetter, it becomes quite a bit scarier yes if i add that. If i knew it wasnt me im the picture i would have believed it. A few others did. ;)
Im off to work some more.
Small update: http://upl.mine.nu/uplfolders/upload7/WallpaperWIP1024c.jpg
Its still missing the most vital parts right now... but it will be done. Also im going to change the order of things so the lines dont intersect.

So we meet again Dice/Oink.
I saw your plans for the picture earlier, it will enhance it a lot. You got a good base there, just keep working.

Nice photo, but I'm not sure where you're going with it. Is it to be used for a desktop/background? Nice either way. However, in my opinion you can take it a step further. Once again that just depends on what you're going to use it for. I went ahead and edited your photo a bit too... couldn't help but mess around with it--it's pretty interesting. Here is a few version...
