first of all , thank you so much
mmmm....I have just downloaded Gsopt, i tried it, it tells me that the avi uses DviX3, I am not sure what to do next...do i have to find the decoder and sownload it....or can I export the file to other formate using Gspot...?

Hi,

No GSpot just identify the codec used in your file nothing else, to reencode you can use something like discreet Cleaner, or even AE depending on the codec used, if it's DivX 3 you need the DivX codec installed.
