This is a piece of character animation I did to a sound clip from the 10 Second Club. I would appreciate any helpful criticism regarding the physical animation as well as the interaction between the characters. If there is anything else that deserves criticism, I'd appreciate that too.

Thanks.

Imo the shock of the grey guy at the end comes in a little late. Like he's just standing there whilest GreenGuy speaks, not really reacting to it, then suddenly decides to act shocked.

Maybe you can add in more headnods as GreenGuy speaks, as if GreyGuy is agreeing to what he thinks GreenGuy will say. Then pull out the shock look, but a tiny bit earlier than where it is now.

That's my take on it anyhow.

Also, I think the bucket falls unnaturally. Maybe dynamic solve it?

And finally, GreyGuy changes his voice towards a much more sinister performance when he goes "you know what to do", and I don't see that reflected in his physical performance. How about some narrowed eyes? A more mean facialexpression..

Hey, this is only my second post so you dont have to listen to me if your dont want to. I think a lot of the acting is good especially with the lanky guy while he is listening. you accomplished some great character with that guy.

I dont see why he ducks though because the cup wouldnt have hit him if he didnt duck. I would definently add more motion the the lower body of the green guy and try to slow in and out of the holds a little more. Also adding some more moving holds wouldnt hurt. Some of the secondary motion tends to just stop as opposed to settle. When the short guy says "if they ever" he does a gesture that is a little quick for us to read properly. I like the short guys walk cycle, if you could get some of that weight you captured in the walk into his throw it would be awsome.

All in all, however I think this was a great animation, I particularly like the snappy quality and some of the looks the green guy gives the camera. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the critiques! It's all very helpful and useful information. It's really hard to know exactly where a performance works and where it falls short.

I like what you have so far, but it still needs to be worked out, so that the characters don't freeze into position, rather settle and have slight movement.
