the movie looks much much better than I thought it would after looking at the dark pic you showed in your first post.
the mood is really nice and the 'music' adds alot! the silhouettes of the characters looks to simple though, needs more folds on the clothes for an example.
and the final pose of the characters hanging in the air does look a bit weird to me. you should try to exaggerate the poses more, bring more 'strength' behind them, check this site:
http://www.freetoon.com/prestonblair/intro/frame.html
'chapter 2 - line of action', there you'll have an example.
but it's overall a really nice piece of work, congratulations

Yes I`m from Sweden or...
Ja visst är jag från Sverige... Är du?
I wanted the movie to be dark, I think it makes the movie more interesting and a little bit mor mysterius.
I know it`s short. I wanted to make it longer but I didn`t have time for that... Maby next time :)

yepp, jag är från sverige.

do you got a story for this animation?
and how did you come up with the name for it?

Well... I had a summercourse during 1 month (art & mutimediaproduction 5p.) and the assignment was just to do something that had to do with multimedia. I chose to do a 3D animated movie but the story wasn`t so important. I wanted to have a cool effect (yes I still think the matrix effect is cool), and build upp a dark atmospher.
So... no I don`t have a story.
It was hard to figure out a name but then I thought that this is my first movie so way not call it no. 1 but I wanted to spell it out insted...
Have you done any 3D that I can check out?

i havent done any work im proud of...
heres my gallery at renderosity: http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Y&Artist=RobinOberg
im always trying to learn new things, and i never want to imitate someone elses work so its hard to figure out new things to do.
so, this animation was a part of a course(your choice)
have you studied 3d in any way?
most people that are 3d interested are almost always self-taught, like me :)
thats whats most fun in learning new programs, learning it yourself. manuals are for weaklings ;)

I liked the Aircraft challenge WIP. You got that nice metallic texture. I think texturing is realy hard.
No I haven`t studied any 3D course. Selflearned like you...
I think it´s kind of good to copy parts of others work in the begining and make somethink new from some others work. (I just mean insperation, not stealing). Like I did with the bullet time effect.
Right now I`m studying to become a webdesigner. I realy like to work with Flash. Flash and 3D is the funniest thing to work with!
Are you doing anything artistic, exept for the 3D?
What 3D software are you working with?

i have alwys been around 3d-programs, testing demos and buying magazines. but its only recently that ive gotten seriously interested, been doing lightwave for about 6 months now, before that it was rhino. im focusing more on the modelling and rendering bit, mainly cause i find it more fun but also cause im not too good at texturing(havent really tried:))
ive been doing webdesign for a couple of years now, not professionally but i know html/css and flash pretty ok(no scripting, im too lazy to be hassling with scripting :)) i was considering starting a company that did webpages, but there wasnt enough response from the community in my area...
and now, work and studying takes up most of my computeristic artistical time :)

like the animation....too short........all i wanna say is about some camera movement and lighting.......in some scenes camera moves are jerky......haven't you used easy in and out in camera moves????u should use that.it would make a big difference......and lights are flickering in every scenes except of the last hanging scene........i guess it's not u really wanted ...right?????
anyway......good work.......keep it going....

Have you ever heard of REF, by Lucasz Pazera? It looks very similar to your short.
heres a link to his site.

I had insperation from two sides, Matrix and REF. So yes I have seen it and I realy like it!
Which parts has the jerky cameramovement? And about the easing in and out is one of many things I have learned since i finished it.
About the lights... Thats just as I want it. The last scene is soposed to go in slowmotion, time almost stops. It would be weerd if the flickering continued but not the body movements.
Tanks for the tips! I promise to use eas in and out more the next time ;)
