Hello peoples,

I thought it was about time to post a WIP here on CGTalk. One of my good mates James did a concept sketch for me a just over a year ago and I thought it was time to bring this beauty alive in 3D. Here's the concept art he did for me:

James is gonna draw up a body but in the meantime there's plenty of work to be done. Now here's a pic of what she looks like so far, i'm very happy with my progress, she represents about 6 hours work so far:

Basically I box modeled her with the concept art in the background so some of the proportions don't work that well in direct translation. Crits and feedback are more than welcome! :wip:

Looks like a good start but the proportions do not match the sketches.

The bridge f the nose to the tip of it should have a smoother curve.

The ear is in the middle of the head so you need to make the back of the head come out furhter.

The Jaw should be further out to get that sharp edge.

You are pretty close to the sketch so just tweak it a bit and it will rock!

Once the eyelashes and rest are on it will good great.

Keep it up and show us an update.

Thanks for your feedback Jason, totally agree with your crits and will amend the model tonight. Here's a screen of the wireframe.

the flow looks good.

One other thing that might make cahnge things a little is to change your focal length in the camera settings. for portraits it is usually better to use 50mm-90mm so that the features don't pop out toward the camera as much. The QTVR gives me that feeling that the front of the face may be expanded because of the lense you are using since she does have a strong jaw.
