k me again folks whuts the best way do go about surfacing a body in lw towrds uv mapping that is


a)whut projection is the best for the body profile

b) is it good to do a seperate uv map for the hands and feet using an atlas projection

I have had very good results with using projected basic skin- textures and weightmaps as well as gradients and procedurals to add more detail...

You should check out the menithings tutorial. It's the best way I have found.

k me again sorry im having problems doing a cylndrcal on the hand its all messed up do i need to center the hand in a particular way

Hands are better done with projection maps, particulalry if you are doing ethnicity where the palms tend to be lighter/a different color than the back of the hand.

Why are you doing the hands cylindrically? I told you to use planar projections...

Like I said to you last night, all you have to do is look at the shape of the object you are unwrapping and choose a projection method based on that shape. Simple.

how come the color of uv's come up lighter all te time i heard some one say it be4 but never understood
