The deadline for EXPOSÉ 2 has been extended until the 2 February 2004.

EXPOSÉ 2 DEADLINE EXTENDED to 2nd of FEBRUARY 2004. Due to concerns voiced by many artists of their need for extra time to enter finalised work, we have managed to grant an extension the the EXPOSÉ 2 Deadline. The new deadline is February 2nd 2004.This does not affect any work which has already been submitted.

I think there are no prerequisites. Just submite a great image made with some software and hope it's good enough to get in the book.

Well, the image has to have a minimum size and quality I guess.

Read this for more info call for entries (http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/call_for_entries/expose2/)

Same here. My system is rendering it's ass off. And I'm scared the powergrid gonna fail when the render hits 99% :p
Or me hitting escape by accident.

I'm at 42 hours already (that's 6436*3636). This extension gives me 1 more try to fix those last imperfections.

Great news indeed :)

Stupid question maybe, but when it says Feb 2, which time zone is that for? Ballistic is in Australia right, so is it Australian, US or some other time zone?

And what exactly does Feb 2 mean? The Ballistic website (http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/call_for_entries/expose2/) here says "Artwork to be considered for EXPOSÉ 2 needs to be submitted BEFORE 2nd February 2004".

So is it 'before' or 'on'? Some unambiguous clarification would be great, e.g. 12 p.m. Feb 2 GMT.

I'll try to get in before then, but events might conspire against me - like my 56K modem :hmm:

It means midnight Feb 2nd wherever you are in the world. ... which means that we come in to work, in Adelaide Australia, on Feb 3rd and throw the switch to close entries... and it is a drop dead deadline because there are database lock-downs that happen along with batch downloads and procesing that all get triggered once entries close. With 3,00 or so entries adding up to the best part of 100 GB we just can't afford to bend the rules for anyone!

so go for it!
