Hi.
I’m a Lightwave user now trying to find my way around MAX. One of my most used tools in Lightwave is a 3rd party plug-in called Vertibevel (http://www.skstudios.com/VertiBevel.htm) that lets the user define a series if multiple complicated bevels in graph form before you actually apply it to the polygon/face.

I can’t find anything like it in MAX so I was wondering if anyone knew of a 3rd party MAX equivalent plug-in.

Not like that plugin that I know of, but I wish there were. It looks pretty cool.

The closest that max has got to that is the bevel profile modifier. It uses a shape e.g rectangle, and bevels it based on a spline, then you could convert it and attach it to your model. Not quite as efficient as the vertibevel program, but it will get you an accurate bevel result ;)

Doobeh...

Thanks Doobeh.
So many functions, so few brain cells

This is taking some serious re-thinking, I spent ages trying to work out a quick way of doing mini inserts and extrustions to stop smoothing errors, only to realise that I just had to use smoothing groups, Douh :wip:
