Hi,
I'm trying to set up a system where i have a spline object (non renderable) and some bones. I want the spline object to have a custon attribute on it, a button (on/off). And to have this button effect the bones by hiding them. So i can quickly swap between a complex bones system and a cleaner one.

I thought that i could do this with wire peramiters or a reaction constraint. But these don't give you the option to use weither the object is hidden or not. So now i'm stuck.

Cheers for anyhelp...

Does it HAVE to be a custom attribute, or would any one-click solution be ok?

no it doesn't have to be... thats just the way i thought it could be done but it wasn't working for me... I think the easiest way to do it would probably be a script... but i can't script. Had a little look in to it and found it really confussing. Might give it another go..

all i want is to have a few different buttons that will hide/unhide different sets of bones.

Go here:

http://www.jimjagger.com/tools.htm

Download Organise Scene Selection Sets v1

Make selection sets of the bones, and use that script to turn them on/off in the viewport.
