View Full Version : shortcut icons with help icon on top?!

over the weekend, i tried softquadro'ing my video card and didn't have any success [couldn't get the Nstrap'thingy going]. ANYWAYS, i uninstalled RivalTuner, uninstall Nvidia drivers, ran Nasty File Remover, got rid of all nvidia files and put new drivers on. now all my shortcut icons look like this...

i've looked online and found some people get this from UItweak and to find any ISshortcut files in the reg and delete them. well i never installed UItweak, and deleted any ISshortcuts i found. i even tried other Nvidia drivers.

still messed up. please help.

lol, that's gotta be the funkiest bug I've ever seen! try looking through www.annoyances.org... their forums might have something.

GONE!! mahahahah! i dl'ed TweakUI (http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp) and it fixed everything. plus, Microsoft makes it [i thought it was some home made thingy that would mess me up even more]. has a lot of features that i hate about windows.

[now i'm affraid to un-install it, they might come back!]

well any changes made in tweak ui don't change back once you uninstall it. so you might as well just leave it installed. :shrug:

dang, can u even uninstall TweakUI? For some reason it's not on my uninstall menu/list.

you can, but it won't change anyhting. any changes made in that program stay when you uninstall. so i guess just get things the way you want them and learn to live with it. besides it has some cool features.
