CGTalk - PS7 brushes and CS?

Hi,

I heard that my college will be upgrading their Photoshop licences from 7 to CS shortly. I've created a few custom brushes for myself in version 7 and I'm wondering whether I will be able to use them 'as is' with CS? Or will I have to recreate or somehow convert them?

Anyone have any experience here? I just read on the web that there were some compatability issues in previous versions of PS.

I haven't had any problem at all with patterns, custom shapes, or brushes that I had created with PS6-7 and loading them on in PS CS. They all loaded fine for me. So you shouldn't have any problems with that.

But going going backwards, as in creating burshes in CS and importing them on PS6-7 I have no idea if that will work, if you see yourself going back and forth between version I would test it out first.
