I've been using a reverse foot setup for a while now in various packages, but have always found it fiddly when the trailing leg has to lift from the ground (when the weight is on the ball).

I always find this transition from rotating the foot up onto the ball, and then lifting the foot using the heel null causes a nasty stutter in what should be a smooth ankle motion.

I think the main problem I have is that finding a reverse foot setup tutorial is pretty easy, but just try finding a tutorial on using it with walk cycles !

Does anyone have a better technique, and what are the advantages / disadvantages of reverse foot over inverse foot ?

Thanks in advance.

I used the reverse foot rig for a while, but got sick of it. Its caused so many problem of basically finding the real pivot of the foot. And as you say for walks it sucks, for standing its great. Now i just have 2 controls foot(pivot at heel ) and toe its perfect.
