Hey whats up,

How bout a monorail system that goes around the city and through stations that are inside buildings .

Hovering security cameras like the drones they use in the goverment. Have these next to entrances.

or build 8 mini complexes with like 8-10 buildings inside of glass structured domes connected with the monorail but have the cities elevated in the air with futuristic looking supports not a hovering city. and also layed out so the monorail travels through montainous terrain or resource gathering (eye canding) locations

give everything a future concept like having the elevators be elctro magnectic powered / and or the monorail like those electric powered roller coasters

seamless concrete cave looking things emerging from the ground like an advanced military site but use it for underground malls of your going to be doing a camera fly by of the city or just make it look good and let people ask what it is

This is just a start of ideas... hope it helps

Look at the work of Antonio Sant'Elia. Also look at Le Corbusier's "The Radiant City".

Figure out what the culture is, and then pull historical references to apply to that modern style (e.g. some of the buildings in Coruscant are very 50's curves in places)
