MindThink Has released a new plugin to transfer materials, clusters and UV data between XSI 3.5 and the fantastic Bodypaint R2, meaning that the five majour apps are all supported in BodyPaint R2. did I mention its FREE!

Helge Mathee of Mindthink has developed numerous plugins for XSI and cinema 4D not to menton the OHM and AHM file formats for XSI, C4D, SMAX, and Maya.

nonono, i 'd say "why XSI doesn't support anything?"

Think about it, if xsi doesn't build in to it to itself, it doesn't support anything. not even obj importer and mocap data. it added it afterward.

but the thing is hapzunglum, in terms of BP maxon developed all the bridges, first version had max and LW, which are pretty flawless now I think, and for V2 they also added maya, but XSI was left in the dust, I know why it was, butits still aggrevating to the XSI community that the best 3D painting app isn't avaiable for them, thankfully Helge has fixed that.

it was quite available imo , the plugin connection is a glorified OBJ import\export anyway.

no,far better mateirla support then you'd get with obj, true the mesh and the UV would be fine in obj but the advantage is all the different material settings and clusters

XSI does NOT support BP, not BP doesn't support XSI, the prob lies in Soft, not Maxon, who tries to do e.t. to help BP users.

Why Softimage is so incommunicate with othdrs ?

poser pro as I already said its not somftimage, max maya and LW don't support BP either, its maxon that develops the bridge plugins not the other companies.

I didn't mean to start an agrument. But a fact.
Again, SOFT shut their mind while Maxon tried to communicate for developing a plugin like this. It is about inside story, sorry, no more.
I said so simply want SOFT to embrace the whole community as a working group. for the benefit of the most users using both proggies.
