CGTalk - Render and memory

i have a problem> when i render any sequence with passes, xsi use more and more memory. No physical, but swapped page file memory. My xsi running on w2k system - max page file size is 4GB, and after any time render crashed with the message "your system is running on low virtual memory ...etc.". Is it a normally?

Sounds like a memory leak. I would use XSI batch to render your scene passes out individually instead.
