I'm seldom this curious, but I keep on flipping back to these images. Intense work. Looks really promising. Please don't stop the development. :-)
Cheers,

thanks there,
I'm now experimenting with the composition of the shot, the last one was getting very wide angle indeed with a 21mm lens - aspect ratio 1:1 .....which i'm very much against but seems to work quite well, the only downside with it......... is the distortion on the mug:hmm:
this next one is going back to 28mm - with a new aspect ratio of 16:9

Really nice! My favorite is the third pic in your first post. It has a cool "noir" look to it, and the dof in the other images hides too much of your great texture work!

Great work!
:)
Crit: The small screws appear to be self illuminating, or glowing almost

This was intriguing. Real nice images with a grainy noir feeling to them and interesting POV's and concepts. The screws need some attention, they look too shiny and new, though. And I have to ask about rocketman 2 -- what/who is it? Have you posted anything else in this series (rocket man 1? the rocketman himself?)?

thanks guys
yeah its a shame that the depth of field is removing a lot of the detail thats gone into the background. its just the way it goes though really, I think it tricks the viewers brain into thinking its real with the DOF there.
I do agree about the screws, I think the luminosity needs turned down a tad ther, but Id quite like to keep them new..I think..hehe
yep I posted a thread I while back on here, the first film is not textured at all and the sequel up in till now wasnt either...

I re named it to Raketenmensch 2, its a bit more original and it seemes right because of the german musical score and it being made with german software mabie hehe. and if it ever takes off in a big way there wont be a copyright issue with the name.though I don t know exactly how all that works
I and everyone else still call it rocketman though

This is really sweet stuff! I like the flashlight kind of lighting and the DOF is excellently exaggerated. Very stylish.
Btw, if you haven't read a book called "Gravity's rainbow" by Thomas Pynchon yet, I bet you would want to. The main character is a 'raketenmensch' as well, though not the way you have planned, as far as I know - umm... Keep working, and read that book.

What, isn't that book around 1,000 pages? A lot of reading based upon word choice! Brilliant novel though.

i'm a big fan of that simple blue style you came up with...
not that i don't like the noir...but recent releases make it not as fresh as it once was...whereas the blue noir...:surprised now thats fresh....
lovin seeing progress...keep posting...also agree with adamt on 3rd pic...maybe spot blend between blurred images and that not so blurred...eg lightly feathered...

Well, all things start out very small... A single word for instance... :D And, yeap, it's possibly the best thing I've ever read anyway, so completely 'out there'...

Hmmm I'm torn... I really liked the original blue-tint non-textured look, but these are really cool too.
Well either way still a great job so far.

Gravity's rainbow" by Thomas Pynchon, i never heard of that:)...i got a thing wrong with one of my eyes which means its a struggle reading books but i'm being pushed in the direction of these new tinted glasses that can fix it apparently..yep soon..thanks for telling me bout Gravity's rainbow though, it sounds good
yeah, i fell in love with that look I'd created, the blue no textured thing i love to pieces...but i kept sending off to the gallery and i dont know...i dont think its what their after or i dont know really...

if i was you i wouldn't worry about the maxon gallery...i would do what you think is right rather than trying to get into something in which we know very little about the criteria for selection, if your image is what they want they will use it...if not they won't. Just be happy with the image yourself, all the images i've seen you produce are excellent quality so i guess its not what they want...but this shouldn't mean you try and focus on what they want...there are plenty of other galleries around at the end of the day...all of which can do an excellent job at promoting you as an artist....when you stop trying to get into the maxon gallery...then wierdly enough they'll probably say they want that image...its strange how these things work out...
what i can tell you is if you get that blue stuff down...they should showcase it...whether or not they will is another matter.
keep up the good work...
