Na hoffentlich schneiden die da nicht so viel dran rum. Einer der wenigen anime die passabel gedubbt wurden. Freu mich schon drauf. :)

Na, der Film deckt ja leider auch nur die ersten 5 von... äh.. 19 Comics ab... da fehlt eigentlich ein riesen Teil der Handlung... aber trotzdem ist Akira neben Ghost in the Shell einer der besten Animes, wie ich finde. Auf die ganzen Monster-Poppen-Kleine-Mädchen Filme kann ich verzichten...

die sind allesamt klasse!

hast du eine brauchbare dvd? ich habe gehört, daß alle dvd-ausgaben eher unscharf sind und auch hinterherlaufende tonspuren haben. stimmt das?

Ich habe leider nur die erste DVD-Version, in der sie einfach den ollen Videofilm genommen haben.. ist nur Stereo und die Bildqualität entspricht vielleicht einer Werksneuen Kassette... nicht so doll, es gibt aber auch eine digital überarbeitete Version mit DD 5.1...

Ein Problem mit der Tonspur konnte ich allerdings nicht feststellen... kein Versatz...

Odd that noone mentioned Blood: the last vampire, Vampire Hunter D, and MEtropolis as they all have amazing 3D integration intoanime films, or the amazing Cowboy Bebop, and nothing beats any Myazaki hayao/Ghibli Film, Mononoke e Hime, Sen to Chiro, Nausicaa, Laputa, Kiki's delivery Service, My neighbor Totoro, and my all time heart wrenchig fave Grave of Fireflies. Amazing the amount of emotion one can put into an animated film, funny to think a bunch of drawings on paper can make one laugh or cry. Anime has something that American Films just can't achieve even the touching new Lilo and Stitch.

blood had a superb opening scene but i didn't really dig the story. technically top notch, yeah.

hmm i think blood is very nice, although to short.
i want more blood..
thats why i hope they make a series out of it,
the ending of the movie was literally screaming for a sequel...

I think they planned to make a sequal all along (I heard somethnig about it right after bloods dvd release did good), so they didn't invest more than they needed too. Because of all the OVA's people are willing to settle for short stories, I wish they'd try and buck that trend frankly.

thank's stu but we didn't make it. brazil was playing way better the the german team. that's life and we'll nevertheless have party! this year the cup was big fun.:beer:

I was really disappointed in the Corean teams attitude in their last game, they weren't playing like they cared anymore, and they were the most sportsmanlike team thats for sure.

The German's played hard and did great, it was a pretty good game. course I figured Brasil would win before it began, the UK was the only team I figured could stop them but it didn't happen of course.

it is a movie about a vampiress who is hunting for other vampires and killing them. she is also fighting against demons.

as i said before the opening sequence is perfect.
