It's been almost a year that I didn't have a chance to post any new pic anywhere since I got my lucky to work with all the talent at Legend. But as you know, U2XMP had been released and Legend got shut down Friday....so I guess this is time to post something up...
These characters were built base on Jay's concepts.(Check out Jay's concepts HERE (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~polycount/ubb/Forum2/HTML/008279.html?00020)) !)

Sexy as all hell. It must be awesome to work with mr. hawkprey. As that concept art is really quite inspiring. Legend did a good thing by getting you on the team, cause you translated that concepting quite nicely...
sucks about legend shutting down....good luck in the future:)

Great job with the models , true to concepts . I love the textures on them , they are very sharp . I've been playing XMP ever since it came out , and I have to say it is awesome fresh gamestyle . I am very sorry about the Legend . Why do always creative people have to suffer . Good luck in the near future.

niiiiiiice models. i like the textures in between the armor [the black "rubber"]
still can't comprehend how a studio can crank out a great game, then get shut down.

Very nice models and textures.
The poses you've chosen are very nice as well. All too often, the Vitruvian Man (http://www.aiwaz.net/Leonardo/vitruvianman/vitruvianthmb.jpg), "default" pose is used to show off people's character modelling. While that's fine to show the structure of the models, it's nice to see the characters doing something similar to what they would be doing in the actual game/show/movie. The poses make these characters stand out, and give them a TON of personality, even though it's a still image.
I'm not familiar with Legend, but the work you've shown here is solid. I'm sure you'll find something soon.

Holy moly ! its one of the best character model I ever seen... I am always a fans of hawkprey.. and its so cool to see his stuff turn into such a beautiful 3d model...
once I saw the character, I wanna animated them so badly... but sadly.. its for the game... I can never get my hand on that juicy model :/
any way .... great work here !!! 5 stars

Slurry: hands are holding guns all the time so I leave them less polys and make sure they look OK when they hold things.

sorry to hear about Legend...but tis the nature of the industry...almost every game artist will go through that in thier career...I wish it was not a universal truth, but I digress...

Comming From a Hardcore XMP Player as myself, i Love the work that LE did, you guys really did an outstanding job on this title,
Im personally sorry about the Closure of LE. atari has seemed to distanced itself from Unreal2 (maybe cause it bombed and bombed hard, i personaly dont know) but you guys will be missed from the community,
once again, Great work with the game and best of luck on your next adventure :)

Man, Looking at the color images and then then wireframes remindes me what an artform "lowpoly" modeling can be. I often forget about that.

I like the result of the interpretation from conceptual drawing. Reminds me of those pop culture techno japanese spacey thingies.

Here are the texture maps. When I worked on these, people wanted me to follow the same rule ilike UT2003, so they are 1024x1024x2 in original(one for head only, one for body). I scaled them down a little bit.
