Here are some free custom "pin-shaped" brushes for bumpmap painting:
(16 bit - Photoshop CS only)
http://www.claus-figuren.de/bb/brushes_for_bumpmap.zip
I tried to make them in 8 bit, but it didn't work out... I couldn't get them render smooth enough.
Examples of bumpmaps painted with them:

Brushes with pin profiles are strangely not included in photoshop... they're important though for for painting bumps for skin pores, skin folds etc.
Also included in the zip is a psd file that has a realtime emboss effect applied to it's 1st layer, so you can preview your bumps while you're painting (some details would be too faint otherwise)
enjoy:)
