I recently replaced my old geforce 4 card with an FX5900SE..Pc specs are p4 2.6 with 5123200 ram and 120gb hd. Anyway in max performance has increased, but I think something is still holding it back, I have a very rough car model at 2 sub-d iterations, and pulling verticies seems to be a bit laggy..Could it be the drivers? I tried to change to d3d mode, but it wouldnt work..What nvidia drivers work best with 3D Studio max 5? Any other ideas on how I can improve the performance, or figure out if whats happening is normal?
