Preloaded requires a freelance 3D designer to work with on a new Flash
based site we're working on. The ideal candidate would be London based to
allow them to drop by the studio to discuss the project before and during
the development cycle, however for the right person we would consider a
'virtual' employment.
We're developing an isometric 3D aquatic environment for a site we're
working on. We have a requirement of sea views, above and below water
level, as well as a range of 3D objects for sprites.
With the right candidate - who is able to prove themselves up to the task
- we will look for their individual creative input to realise our
creative brief, otherwise if preferred or required we can closely oversee
and guide the creative development of the 3D models and environment.
The look we are aiming to achieve is stylised rather than naturalistic.
The rendering effect we need is cell-shaded/flat rather than photo
realistic/ray-traced.
From a technical standpoint, the ideal candidate works with a 3D package
that can render to the SWF Flash outline format, and has had experience
building 3D models for output to SWF - you can't use textures, can use
flat or gradient based colours, must have low vertex count etc.
The project is a challenging one but will definitely be rewarding.
Please post links to work either here or email samples directly to
rob @ preloaded.com (remove the spaces).
Bear in mind whilst looking at your work, we'll be looking for...
1. Definitive evidence of creative use of 3D tools.
2. Individual flair, style, humour and character in the work.
3. Innovative and creative approach to all modeling, even the ordinary.
4. Totally original work only - no amended clip art or tutorials!
We've seen a lot of incredible work in these forums, so we know there are
people out there up to the job... please get in touch!
