Hi all.

I got an annoying problem with CS in MAX 4.26
when ever I try to move the spine keys of the biped in the time line they pop right back to there previous place and I get this message:

This operation is not possiblile because it results in illegal timing.

This problem wasent occuring in my previous files, only in the last.
I am at 4000 frames in the animation and cant go back to bones.

I updated to CS 3.2a.

Also when I add another layer I can pull the spine keys around, but not the original layer.
and i can also move one key at a time in the key info in the time window.
but cant move all the biped keys at once cuz of that problem.

Did any one encounter this problem?

thanks

This happens because of the way CS keeps keys selected in the trackbar even when the object itself isn't selected. You have to make doubly sure you have no keys selected on the trackbar, paying attention to the fact that CS spits the COM into three separate tracks which cannot be selected simultaneously when in the motion panel.

The easiest way to do this is to region-select the whole biped, then come out of the motion panel and click somewhere in the track bar to deselect any selected keys. Then just go back into the motion panel and start editing again.

I think that's the problem anyway.

Thanks for the quick replay
But it doesnt work, it still give me that message.

I tried to go to a previous file were it was fine and loaded the bip animation from the bad file - and still he gave this problem over the good biped.

ok, I erased all the previous keys up to the new animation scene, and know I can move the spine keys good again
