Thought I'd toss my hat into the ring and give it a shot.
Character: Dig-Dug
Occupation: Miner
Weapon: Pneumatic Airgun and Shovel
Redesign issues: Instead of a hand pump, DD will use a Pneumatic Airgun with the tank strapped to his back. The Shovel will also be used as a semi-lethal/blocking weapon.
Overall look: Anime/cartoony
