CGTalk - copy & paste keyframes

I would like to quicky copy my position and rotation keyframes from one file, and paste them onto an object in another. It seems I can not do this in one step? I can copy and paste from the transform label in the curve editor fine WITHIN the same file but the second I load another file the paste option is greyed out.

Grrr.

Hey there,
I'd say you need to merge both objects in the same file before being able to copy animation parameters from one another.

Ya I tried that merge keyframe option. It just didnt work out for me hmm. I guess i'll have to redo things from scratch for now.. till I figure out max's quirky system some more.

Not Merge KEYFRAME, merge the OBJECT.

Then copy/paste the track.
