lo all
just started learning maya for a possible job interview (im an xsi guy with some MAX knowledge) anywho i whipped this up while testing hes 1000 polys or 1980 odd tri's the texture sheets are actual size (512/512) i used 2 because thats what the place says they normaly use so erm C&C welcome! btw im not the best texturer so tips there would be most welcomed! I modeled the eye loops so the topology was more standardised and they help define the face a bit better i can take them out if need be i guess. apologys for the damn water mark but its just the PLE sinc eim not forking over liscence money just to learn a new program lol

Well considering the very low detail needed for his texture you really don't need 2 512s. One 512 would be just as good.

And either add another light or bump his texture up to 100% self illuminated.

It's a good start.

Nice, clean mesh, and good UVing, but i think his booty is huge for lil' nimble spider man. Maybe shrink his ass and thighs down a bit. Nice work.

id agree with the 1 texture sheet but i thought it more use to do as im told! i supose the mask takes up less space than hair eyes teeth etc u normaly do hence the head sheet is a bit empty :)

yah his ass does look rather big in some views.

Uv's were a pain to do there was alot of tweaking to be done, retrospectivly picking a model that consists of alot of thin lines is a bad idea lol

concept wise hes got more of the movie build with ure sort of wirey average guy but i went for slightly more comicy textures

Pretty good model. I would use some pattern on the texture instead of the noise. And his ass is huge :P

The model is nice, but I think his back is leaning a bit too far backwards. Also his eyes don't seem to fit in the structure of the "web" of his mask. Other than that good stuff.. And I think the butt is perfect, they got this great spidey muscle touch :D

I belive Beaneh is right but everything else is very good.

thanx guys :) hm his ass maybe sits a bit big i dunno it seems to me the problem is the 3/4 views it sticks out too much on the side view uc an see its not that bit so maybe if i tuck the profile in a bit.

The eyes dont really fit normaly on the film version anyways so thats not really something im concerned about to be honest. the curved back is just a slightly more funky stylized thing makes him bit more cartoony and heroic :)
