CGTalk - Training DVDs poll?

Quick research poll:

We will be making a training DVD (not at MAXON, we're all tied up with XL 8 there) and I simply need you to pick one from the following list and add any comments about what you'd like.

1) A DVD which covers the basics, new XL8 features and advanced techniques. (45 mins each section)

2) A DVD which covers the basics and new XL8 features in more detail (2 hours total)

3) A DVD which covers advanced techniques and more difficult uses of the new XL8 features (2 hours total)

I would also appreciate any thoughts you have on what you'd like to see on the Disc.

that has not been officially announced yet, this DVD is not being Directly done at Maxon as they are so busy with XL 8.

someone else has mentioned that concern, but this is being done by a fewe maxon and non maxon guys I guess, whoever it is they are doing it on their own time. SO I think they will do it whichever way is financially feasable, and doing both PAL and NTSC videos makes things a lot more of a pain too.

I'd also like point out that Matthew has also stated this release should be as big as the XL 5 to XL 6 move.

Perhaps you can convince these guys to also release a CD with the files on some sort of video format...

For CD theres a new product out called Sorenson squeeze for QT which has compressed 1.36gb of data down to 20m in an article I read recently if thats any help :)

The DVd,s how about a DVD which covers the basics,the new XL8 features and those features in more detail. And one that covers number 3 as listed.That way everyone gets the info they want from the area of XL8 that they want,and people can go from DVD 1 to DVD 2 as they get more familiar :)

Sounds to me like there are a WHOLE lot of new features in XL8,yes?

I would like to see two DVDs...
One for the beginners with basics and new features and one for advanced techniques... I think, they should seperate this...

i would like to see all but i wonder why dont they get the www.c4dtreff.de DVD and translate it to english and work from there. the DVD seems to have alot of useful information. although is mainly for 7.03 it can become handy in creating a better DVD for Oxyfen... just my 2cents

They cannot take the DVD of the c4d-treff... The DVDs will be created for understanding the new features of oxygen...
