The Academy just announced it:

Sci-Tech Awards for 2003 (http://www.oscars.org/press/pressreleases/2003/04.01.12.html)

Among the VFX/CG ones, include the subsurface scattering work done at Stanford, ILM and Weta Digital, Massive at Weta Digital and motion control pioneer Bill Tondreau of Kuper Controls.
