nice one blc318
Funky French translation and everything.
This seems to have some pics of the stack, which is what I want.
There’s no stack hierarchy in Maya just nodes so that’s kind of different. Although I have seen some of the new texturing stuff in max 5 and It looks a whole lot cooler than 4.
Thanks

Thats probly one of the more comprehensive tuts to find on mapping in max. Im glad you liked it. It definately helped me out.

In max4 you basically cut up your mesh and relax and flatten it to lay it out in the viewport, then planar map it and just do the tweaking in UVWunwrap. Afterwards just put UVWunwrap on top to lock UVS, disable the edit mesh/relax etc. stuff, and you're done.

Great page! I've also searched for a tut. like that for some time, but this is probably the best one yet...
The translation is very fun to read to :)

Yeah Thanks I know all the processes my problem is I keep braking everything by traversing the stack nodes. I guess Ill do the UVWunwrap locking thing. thanks
