Okay here is my enty for this very cool challange..
my idea is :

the place has little or no gravitation but all the other eliments are still in .. wind and sun . so things form and grow rather different . life does not consider weight to its form.

SO.. here we go!

Just A little update.. moved the pods to be slightly offset here and there to make them look more "random" added the texture for the "altar" and added faint lights to the pods , not the kind of glow :) more coming soon

Concept Changed, I rethought about my scene and have decided to change it .. to something more intimidating and big..

Hey, now that last image is just plain old beautiful. I hope you don't mind.. I'm gonna copy that to my desktop... I really think that is calm, surreal, beautiful... just a pleasure to look at! Thanks!

I'll keep a look out for your progress...

I don't know what you realy want, but I am sure of one thing: this works! The composition is great, just add some details and a presence or an idea of an alien form. This is my humble opnion.

Keep on!:bounce:

High: Thanks .. i do like thwe composition but i think its lacking some details that i want in.. i just cant seem to get it in the actuale scene file.. i guesss ill have to do it in post effetcs.. my pc cant handle the load .. it keeps crashing.. however i theik your idea of the alien artifact thing is good.. and i shall consider it..

Okay.. heres my final composition. damn can someone slow down time.. rendering is taking forever on my machine!!!!.. anyway.

So im thinking that the shadows are still not quite correct.. but i like the clouds and the sky . it give it a kind of peacfulness to it and the little post at the far right of the image is obviously not of natural formation . so it would suggest that the was something there.. anyway the image should explain itself .. i think :) good luck to all and hurry up!

I realy like your work, but now the ground is too bright. Just this little thing the rest is nice. Post effects are welcome.

Time is almost over indeed.

You know what? This is one of the few final entries that actually fits the guidlines for the contest, and the piece is very well done. You've put together an incredible scene with depth and imagination so my hats off to you. Well done, well done indeed.

Hey mufizal, don't worry about the rendering size... they mentioned that if you couldn't render as large as they wanted to send in what you could. You have done a great job! Your not gonna get disqualified... I'm sure they would work with you on getting your stuff finished at high res! There are ways of getting stuff like that done... there are places that you can send your stuff to and they'll render it for you (render farms for rent). I know of one in NJ, USA. SO Don't worry! Your image is kick ass! I know I have a copy of that black and white one... It really is beautiful. Thanks again!

and Good Luck!
