I really love your work. Do you start with a pencil drawing, or just do it all in PS (you use photoshop, right?)

Yeah dude -
I love the slight texturing you get using that 'spattered' brush - very cool. Plus your sense of color is really bang on. I'd love to know more about hwo you work as well.

Wow!
I wonder when you're going to post this in the Finished Work forum since it looks totally awesome as it is now.
If you could give some insight in the way you work, that would be very much appreciated :)
How on earth do you get that grainy look?
Cheers,
Erik

BMunch -yeah i get that quite a lot, yes an influence among others.
Thanks juju, an hour is plenty, it gives me time to put down whats important, most people tend to noodle and thats what takes the time. this is aside from rendering.
Erik, cheers :) I dont tend to post in the finished section, people tend to just send me back here, i will render some stuff out soon, but im not too concerned about the wow factor, i could render some stuff til it looks good i guess, but ill just hide in here. maybe i should copy a photo for 18 hours and then i dunno.. stick on some elf ears?, im too impatient for that and id also like to get better ;)
Dunno what grainy look you mean.. the textured brushes? busy areas? If anything specific, pm me.
jadedchron- thanks, i dont think my grasp on light is anything special i use a lot of cheap eye tricks, there is a lot you can play up. My site needs updating, i have a folder full of crap i need to sieve thru the html torture chamber. dont judge me on most of the crap i have there ;)
