Upgrade to XP...Tool palettes don't hold position...

hmmmm you mean like the info window/poly stats etc... I've had no problems with them remembering where they were last open with XP Pro...

However my work machine is 2K and running in dual screen mode I cannot save window positions on the secondary monitor if I run independent resolutions. Are you running dual screens ???

Do you have NVidia drivers with the nView Desktop Manager enabled ? That seems to be the reason for me why for instance my Numeric and Statistics panel don't remember placement. Then again, I have a Dual Screen setup so could be because of that also.
