You can see the constrains in the cursor... When the move, Scale, rotate cursor appears just select the apporiate axis to move/scale/rotate the object on. Otherwise you can always use "Move Transform Type In" by pressnig F12 be default.
Good Luck

That does not answer the question, thanks. What I am talking about is when you start the wall I want it to go in a stright line to when I conclude the wall.

try holding down "ctrl" and then draw your line.

ok... i just figured that you're reffering to wall object in create panel>aec extended>wall... i still think you should read the manual though... ;] that's why i'm not editing last post....
anyway solution to your problem can be:
-make a keyboard entry...
-turn on "snap to grid" and use grid as drawing aid (you can make grid more dense if you need to)....
-draw a spline (holding "shift" will work there)... and then go to wall>keyboard entry>pick spline...
-when working with splines if you right click to on snap button you'll get "grid and snap settings" go to options tab and set Angle (deg) to desired value.... now.. when you are drawing splines hold CTRL and new line will snap to angle you entered... so if you set value to, let's say, 15 you can easily draw precise architectural bases by counting "snaps"... note that angle snap will not work on first spline because it does not have reference spline from wich it would get angle information...
there you go... hope it helps... ;]

I think you need 'Ortho toggle'which will contrain it either by x ,y. it located at the bottom of your scene or 'polar toggle'which will give you an more accurate toggle angle, hope this helps:thumbsup:
