View Full Version : Short Film : Monkey!!!
taeha 01-09-2004, 04:01 AM Hello, everyone.
I finally polished it and it plays with sound!
I add some particle FX and tighten up timing for Animation.
Still not sure about music, though....
I hope you like it !
Any C&C are all welcome, it would be really helpful for me.
Using Maya and After Effects, it took almost 10 + 8 more weeks.

Thanks !!
About the Music though, it sounds like really 'Indiana Jones', so the musician will change it soon. I'll update it anytime. Thanks again. :D

I think I need to change animation more. Any comments on that as well ? I had a long holiday, and it is hard to come back....

I think the animation was ok.
I don't like to tell people that they need to improve on an animation.
I look at it like this. It's your animation and noone but you knows how you want it to look so if it's ok for you it's ok for me.
I would love to see any changes you make though.

I love your design and style of models and rendering is really appealing and you did a good job animating the character.
I just love it...

Hey Taeha
Good to see your film up man, with as many different codecs as i have fingers I see.
Having seen your film before scholarship, I was wondering if you could talk about what you did during scholarship to finese your film?
I don't see any new scenes, so it must be a lot of detailed work with textures, lighting, etc.
Wish i could've been at the screening last friday.
Hope to see more, talk to you later

Hey Jesse,
Good to see you here. How's going with you ?
I posted Image about 'before and after'.
I tried some Particle FX and some more Foreground stuff. I rendered everything on 1 pass but this time I rendered alsmost everything separately. It saved rendering time but lot's of time and work for composite... but I think it is worth. Texture and Lighting was another story. I had a hard time with Maya 5.01, my original file was made with Maya 5.0 and it keeps making weird rendering error....
And you know, tighten animation timing was one of the big deal. In addition, as you can see, now the boulder is rolling very close to him.
I hope you like the difference. ;)

Good job! Some inaccuracy of the speed and timing of things, but I think the main issue is that you finished it. and was complete and the story comes across well. Keep it goin'.
