Do the following:

Select your model
hit the C key or goto Structure: Make Editable

Select Tools: Polygons

Use the Arrow or Live Selection.

Select the face you want to map

goto Structure: Set Selection

A triangle will appear under your cube in the Object Menue: double click on it

Name this a simple name like FACE

Double click on your Material tag in the Object menue

in the field where it says: restrict to selection
type FACE.

Done.

thiat is the betterway of doing it and it will come in handy to learn those skils to, but also for this situation, an easy quicker way that should work is to simply place a sticktexture tag on it. problem solved.
