Hiya,

Thought I'd join the contest, looks like fun.
For my model I'm using Hibiki from Last Blade.
Though I don't know if she fits the contest, I dont care :P
It's just alot of fun to bring her to 3d.

Here some wip. Form isnt set yet. Still alot to do!

I for one like Setsuna and Zantetsu more that Hibiki, but she's ok!

working with max i supposed?how do you do those wire renders?

cris: simple!
shift click on you model to make a copy in place.
scale it to 100.1
make a wire material
aply to the outside model.

render


doesn't work very well with complicated surfaces, but it's nice for most stuff.

other than that, just make 2 renders, mix in photoshop!

Thanks for all positive comments!
A few lil updates. Did some hair, tail.
And did some minor tweaking.

Cris, the way i did the render with wires is as follows.
ctrl-v for a clone, click yes.
with the clone selected go to your modifiers and use the modifier Push. Adjust it to about 0.05.
Put a wire material on your mesh, and render.
Works fine all the time :)

Riki, I haven't even played this game :P
I just like samurai characters :D

If anyone has any crits, plz post em!
I'm not a game artist yet, so im hoping my model
isn't tooo messy.

Modeling finished, texturing started.

Hibiki is one of my favourite fighting characters.. She's awesome! :D

great choice. Hibiki was cool in last blade but she was almost always on my CVS2 team on XBox live. People weren't used to fighting her so i could clean up with her crouching strong :) Standing Fierce was also great for air defense. Anyway, great model, cant wait to see her finished.

Btw, if anyone should reply.

Whats better, The amount of folds in her kimono like
the way its now. Or a lesser amount?
Texture wise that is.
