It would be awesome if the Materials Tray Previews could display the texture mapped content for UV maps. I have no idea if this is possible, but it would be great. This is the same weakness Lightwave's Surface Editor has, and the only ability to see texture previews in LW's VIPER was to have a model at subpatch level of zero; which doesn't help too much. Don't know if that helps, but there it is.
