It appears that LW8 forgot the architectural community, never mind any changes to the rendering engine which has lots of problems.

I would have to say that this thread

http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15107&highlight=flicker

should really be a priority.

Well, I can post about a billion links to peoples work in
LW where you can't tell it from a photograph. All of it
architectural! You've just taken a thread about a guy
kinda new, who had some problems with his textures
that occur in nearly every high end renderer and which
are 100% resolvable, to say "It appears that LW8 forgot
the architectural community"? Nice troll moves there!!!

I think you said it best when you said:
"Personally, I am frustrated with this program."
Can we get this thread removed before it even starts?

ah okay.

well hopefully others will benefit from the solutions in that thread...and hopefully kenmac emailed NT about the issues when he encountered them.

Cheers!

And you thought his intent in namming a thread:
"It appears that LW8 forgot the architectural community"

and posting:
It appears that LW8 forgot the architectural community, never mind any changes to the rendering engine which has lots of problems.

was to inform us of a work around that someone else came up
with? It sounds like troll bait to me. Why not just say:

Hey all you architectural guys and gals... here's a cool work
around for a pretty common problem: Link.

It appears that LW8 forgot the architectural community???
Yeah, right!!

i guess it's all in how you interpret it.

too funny...just classic...

anyway...

hey Kenmac...any links to other tutorials which cover this issue. I'm sure some people here would benefit from the work arounds that are available to us when encountering this type of issue.

Troll bait...Grow up you pansies.

The render engine is out dated and of all the new features that I have read about and watched on Flay really don't have much to do with architectural animation.

I donít know about the rest of you but I am about sick of work a rounds for the money one pays for this program.

So therefore

"It appears that LW8 forgot the architectural community"

check yer PM kenmac.

and smile. the world is watching.

If the main complaint is regarding "flickering" of textures then it should be made known that it can even occur using PRman and isn't a phenomenon exclusive to Lightwave.

Some parts of the craft require a certain amount of finesse that kenmac hasn't yet aquired among other things.

I think Lightwolf and Halsu really illuminated some things in that thread.

Either way...whatver the intent, there is some good info in that thread.

Chewey...You have got to be kidding?
It isn't polite to let your over blown ego to get in your way.

pansies?

The render engine is out dated

Oh, I knew this was comming! Do have any clue whatsoever
as to what any of the features of the LW rendering engine
actually are? Would you even be able to recognize them if
I named them for you? Since you've already answered that for
us over at the newtek thread that you posted where it's obvious
you don't know anything about it, I guess I shouldn't waste my
time. Combined with the very high probability that you don't
know anything about any other renderers this coment of yours
sure makes it obvious to me that you did indeed intend to troll
bad feelings and ill will.

Shame on you!

and of all the new features that I have read about and watched on Flay really don't have much to do with architectural animation.

Heh! You've already proven that you don't know what you're
talking about... So you expect me or anyone to actually think
that statement holds meaning? FYI, I asure you, it does not.

I donít know about the rest of you but I am about sick of work a rounds for the money one pays for this program.

Then you either need to get a free application or leave the 3D
FX induftry all together because they all are this way. LW is not
exceptional in this reguard. The only difference I see is that the
LW community if peppered with (how did you phrase it?) "pansies"
like yourself that feel the need to whine, cry, and blame someone
else for the work you have to do in order to achieve a result.
Same as anyother application.

So therefore

"It appears that LW8 forgot the architectural community"
Right! :hmm:

Cheweys ego? Why? You've shown yourself over in the NT
thread to be a total newb. To know Cheweys level all one
has to do is look at his recent work! I suppose yours flashes
too much to show huh?

LOL

That was manly. (not) If you knew your post was causing a
problem for me or anyone else for that matter all that's needed
is a simple retraction. I do it. So do others. That little hit and run
wan't very nice.

I donít see anything trollish in kenmacís post. I actually found the post at the newtek forum very informative.

Well before the thread is closed. Both of you should deal with things more aproperiatly.

kenmac your tread is agressivly silly. LW 8 is not out! and Even if it was and still has the problems. You need to finda more productive way to voice it. winning threads are not needed. I have not read the newtek thread this only applys to this one.

Tesselator your passion for wanting a cleaner better thread causees a bit more agression than it promotes it. I understand and want the same things but your replys tend to lead into a reply that elivates the issue.

These forums are on the verge of rediculus again even with pretty good moding. I think the " Before posting, please review the following:" needs to maybe be put in a bolder larger font because, well frankly not alot of people seem to be reading it.
If you want professionals to be a part of these forums you should relize that there time is valuable and wasting it will not do much in your favor.

Now play nice.

AdvancedLife,
Yes. The thread at NT is good. The way it was brought
here (Title, preface commentary) was just asking for
another please let's all bash the product type of thread.

Castius,
Yup! Sorry man!

If you're so unhappy with LW; go find another program that fits your needs.

Personally I didn't see anything trollish in Kenmacs post. I think some people here took it the wrong way - please don't use so much unnecessary aggression on these forums.

Thread closed.
