View Full Version : Alpha channel problem (urgent)

I have to do some stuff in LW and its quitr a new application for me since its changed alot since 5.6 (last time I used it)

I need to do couple shots for compositing that has some volumetrics and lensflares. The problem is they dont affect the alpha channel for some reason. Ahy help would be greatly appreciated!!! or I guess I will have to create a perfect dark cituation and render that stuff in the seperate pass which is a pain!

Lensflares are not included in the regular rendering process to save on processing, so they do not show up in the alpha. It makes sense cpu wise, but makes no sense in post production.

I believe they have changed this in 7.5, which has the option to include flares in the alpha. I haven't had the chance to see how though.

Anyone else here work with this?
