I'll keep this short and to the point. Bright Light Productions ( http://games.ign.com/objects/027/027769.html ), internet-based indie game dev company, is seeking serious a level & starship texture artist.

If you're a skilled 2d artist who would enjoy creating textures on indie game project created with those rare qualities "technical knowledge and industry experience", please follow these 5 simple steps to achieve creative game development bliss!

#1. Have a look at the images URLs linked to at the top of this post.

#2. Know that we're an exceptionally dedicated team with experience on previous commercial games, and that we will complete this game and you'll get royalties.

#3. Read this description of the game: http://www.helixcore.com/game.asp

#4. Watch the movie "Aliens" to get in the mood for some dark sci-fi

#5. Repeat step 4 if necessary, three or for or twenty times. :surprised

#6. Give us a buzz at jeremyst@ufl.edu if you're a talented 2d artist who can do textures, and has free time to spend with an engaging, exceptional team that is creating a powerful next-gen commercial video game which will be published in about 8 months.
(phew, what a run-on!)

Take care all,

Ah yes, & our in-house developed next-gen engine uses pixel shaders and can push some serious polygons around to give a powerful visual potential for the game.

An updated picture of the engine's per-pixel shaders & lighting (this image is real-time of the Evolution3d engine for our game, Helix Core):

If any talented 2d (textures) or 3d (level and characters) artists are interested in joining the indie team that is creating the game, for royalties upon its commercial publication, please fire off an e-mail to jeremyst@ufl.edu and we'll talk.

Take care all,
