I was frustrated at first that I could see through the lights; a light viewport. But today I found a workaround...sort of.
I added a null and Targeted the Spot light to the null.
Bingo! Now I know exactly where the light is looking, but I still can't see exactly what the spread angle of the spot light. That's ok for now. A little trial and error will get it just right.
I did this before, I don't know why it took me so long to figure it out on my current see. Oh well.
Edit:
Oh, and I did this so I can see how my key incidence light is affecting the skin of my character. Now I can easily shift the position of the light, without having to constantly rotate where it is looking.
