Billy or Jimmy I haven't decided yet. :) Will come bright after sketching, but Jimmy has a bit more chance.

Yay! - looking forward to seeing those dodgy 80s perms, knee high boots and leather clothes in 3d!
Should be tricky to make them look tough and serious!

The final model may differ from this, but this was good to get my toughts together. I'll make him a bad ass for sure!
Please feel free to comment...

I just show off that I'm working on it. It's not for crit 'cause it's a heavy work in progress.

I didn't like the way tne DD followups went. The movie with the two nice athlete-student boy alike 'heroes', the Street Fighter clone beat 'em up... They've lost the feel. For me DD was two Punks beatin' the sheet out of the other Punks on the street. That was the feeling! I'll try to bring that back!

mighty fine concept, and promising start in 3d. I like your vision of DD too!
I'll keep a eye on this thread. Keep it up!

Thats coming on nicely!
Good modelling on his waistcoat. How are you doing for poly count? it seems pretty high from what i can see. Nice bouffant too!
Main crits i can see at the moment is that his chest seems a bit 'weedy' and caved in, and his thumb seems too long. I would probably beef up his face too - he kinda looks sleazy and suspicious at the mo.
Keep it up!

He's 2698 polys atm. I will do a heavy optimalization at the end, he will probably end at the round 4500. :) I'll exploit the given polycount. The hands are imported from and old character of mine, I'll give you wires later when it will be reasonable. Thank you for the comment! The thumb looks really long, I'll fix it tomorrow. Now I'll go to sleep.

No secret, download Wings3d, easy, fun and profi application. Ayeah, and play with it! I showed it to my sis-in-law, explained in 45mins, and next time we met she came up with a dinosaur head. T-rex type with teeth and stuff (She watched Martin Krol's demon modelling video). I was amazed! I'll try to get a pic from that. She was only 14 that time.

Xaint i took your advice and downloaded wings, one question how do you map an image on an image plane to use for modelling reference? It seems pretty familiar though, i used nendo a while back and its almost identical as far as i can tell which isn't a bad thing though cuz nendo rocks.

Right click with nothing selected in the screen and click on Image Plane :)
If you want to lock the image plane so you cant select it, go to "Window < Geography Graph" at the top of the screen and then click on the lock symbol next the image plane's name. (should be something like 'image1')

Enjoy Wings3d.

He's around 4200 polygons now. I'm happy with it, 'cause the boots are detailed too. I'll post more pics later.
