I've always modelled with Splines and Nurbs in 3DS Max. A friend recently showed me a technique for poly modelling - heres the end result. Its my first attempt at modelling a high poly car so feedback and critique would be more than welcome.
The car is around 200,000 polygons (Inc Interior). I rendered the image with Brazil and used only a skylight along with a metallic car paint material. I know the front end is a little longer than that of the true 911, but i did this as an exercise in freestyle modelling (No Blueprints, just photos). All in all it took about 45 hours. Still working on the lighting and materials and will post more renders soon.

Thanks to Zoomie and DaForce for previous comments.....Its all good :)

Does look very good, excellent even seeing you haven't used blueprints although I do agree with ryusen in that you should find some blue prints for it, it just doesn't look quite right at the moment, and could look incredible.

The gaps betwen the doors, bonnet and lights appear to be a tiny bit on the large side, do you have a photo you can post?

Edit: Corrected my crap spelling. :)

Like the car, but maybe some glossy reflections on the rims and a little more detail on the car, like lines? Keep it up!
