well hello there everyone; I have just recently joined and haven't had any time to post any pictures. I need some help on texturing environments. I have finished 3 different environments but need help on how I should go about texturing. Does anyone know any kind of tutorials on going about this.......
I have read many tutorials and tried to texture some of my things but they just don't seem to come out realistic. What I do is take photos of buildings then model it. Now comes the hard part texturing. I acutally have the photo of one of the buildings. So if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. Thanx

Are you texturing for games or for rendering? There are some threads on building texturing in the game WIP section.

If you want to use photos of buildings as textures, then it is a good idea to take the photos on an overcast day, or just before/after sunrise/set, since the sun will add unwanted lighting onto your buildings, which usually ends up fighting with your CG lighting.
