hi

i'm having a problem with 16bit iffs rendered in maya then brought into after effects

they're fine in fcheck but when brought into afx there are squares [which look like they equate to buckets] of noise, like fuzzy tv but in colour.

does anyone know what's causing this and / or how to fix it?

also... i tried 16bit sgi but it seems that afx is doing some auto-levels, brightening upand contrasting the whole sequence until near the end, when it lightens up anyway.

curious!

thanks

hmmmmmm

Have you tried to calculate in a cineon or dpx format?
Do you have a "log" aspect or a "lin" aspect?

about the auto level thing
Maybe after efffect thinks"(huhuh) that you have imported a cin or a dpx file
and you have some auto-conversion to log or to lin
check the interpret footage dialog box/more options

I dont know about the bucket problem i ve never use iff format.
