View Full Version : Is it possible to copy/paste induvidual keys?
Solve 01-02-2004, 08:17 AM When I copy&paste a key it copies/paste all of the keys on the timeslider. I only want it to copy/paste the one key I have selected.
Is this possible? (sorry if i used any bad terminology, i'm kind of new to maya animation)

Hey there, there are several ways of doing this. If i understand ur question correctly u want to copy a keyframe and not the entire timeline. Then
In your time line, Middle mouse drag the keyframe u want to any desired frame and hit S.
If you want to copy individual channels from a keyframe , u can do that in the Graph editor.
Hope that helps.

or, if this works better for you
just shift select the key you want, by dragging. then rightclick and select copy.
now put your timeslider on the new position and rightclick and select paste. If you do it this way I think it might be best to use the Dope Sheet, because the normal timesliders seems to move the keys after the inserted one back a frame.

 thanks.
is there a way delete individual keys too? The "delete keys" option deletes all of the keys in the timeslider too.
