Just watched it.
It was well directed, with the exception of the matrix effect. Personally I was dissapointed since there are so many other good sequences in the video. I have serious issues with the matrix effect with 3d characters. I hated it in shrek and I hate it in this.
But besides my hangups- The video is pretty amazing considering the time frame, amount of people and the quality that came out. I loved the bomb countdown in particular. I wish as I'm sure you guys do that there was more time to really finesse the animation. especially the facial stuff. Two more on the team and another month would have done it. I really liked the way it flowed. It was very well directed

The bad parts:
the characters are a little annoying to look at(all of them are wearing lipstick), and the slow motion/matrix effects are overdone and not effective.
The good parts
Some of the camerawork is promising, but you should try reading a few books on directing. I found the balloon bomb things to be funny and good, but my coworkers didn't like them at all.
The best part:
the best part was the opening cinematic sequence, for "baroque", you should concentrate on this style of presentation animation, it really is excellent.
THe worst part:
Get rid of the slow motion and "matrix" kick. they do not work, in my opinion, with your storytelling and pull away from the suspension of disbelief.
keep up the good work though. Its an accomplishment just to finish something this large and time consuming. Learn from what you did right and wrong with this short and make a new one.

I finally found someone who agrees with me!!!
I think the matrix kick was only good in one thing:matrix. it is the most cheesy, horribly overused, gut wrenchingly annoying gag since the "im king of the world" jokes from titanic.
It was the worst part of shrek too, in fact, its probably the only reason i like monsters inc better. both were good, but i cant forgive a matrix kick.
ps, yeah, that countdown was pretty slick. :)

thanks so much for so much suggestion, really helpful, i appraciate them very much. we did this with a indeed tight schedule, and to tell the truth, after two weeks of starting doing it, the whole story hadnot been finished yet. and for this is not the main project, actually i did all those animation work and all those 4 characters modeling and texturing, one friend took care of backgrounds, another assisted me managing rendering. for not so many computers to share the rendering work, we pushed ourselves much, those soft shadows are mainly be made in aftereffect by hands after being rendered :)
next story, i will be sure there is something more worth enjoying than this one ( only for fun )
again thanks so much, guys

good job :applause:
I actually quite liked the characters and vehicles. Lots of little details...the big bad guy with his 'snickers' belt, funny.
The only thing I did not really like about the characters is the reflections in the eyes of the main guy and girl, a bit too much IMHO, but then that is a detail.
The worst part overall is the music !!! Maybe I am just getting old
keep it up

p.s: ah yes, grrrrrrrrrreat intro !
